This beginner-friendly three part class guides artists through building a professional portfolio website using the AI platform Antigravity—no coding experience required.
Designed for artists who want an affordable alternative to costly web designers or subscription platforms, this three-session course walks students step-by-step from concept to launch. In Session 1, students design a custom website template inspired by contemporary portfolio platforms, establishing a clear visual direction. Session 2 focuses on content integration—organizing projects, refining layout, adjusting fonts and formatting, writing effective AI prompts, and even building a simple online shop if desired. The final session covers publishing and hosting options, including low-cost platforms and free self-hosting pathways, while ensuring students understand how to update and maintain their site long-term.
Peer feedback is built into the course through collaborative review and final website presentations. By the end of the workshop, each artist will have a live, functional portfolio website ready to share.
Students should bring a laptop, charger, organized digital portfolio files, and written materials (artist statement, project descriptions, pricing if applicable). WiFi and workspace are provided.
Other information: Your computer has to have at least 8GB of RAM and is running Windows 10/11, macOS 12+, or Ubuntu 20.04+ (Linux), to operate Antigravity efficiently. However, Linux and macOS offer a smoother experience compared to windows.
