Tuition - $110.00
We will cover film loading, metering, focus, aperture, ASA/ISO, shutter speed, film retrieval, and advanced settings for the film camera. This workshop is perfect for the beginner who just got a film camera, someone who wants to more deeply understand the exposure triangle and manual exposure, or even someone experienced who simply wants a refresher.
We will also discuss visual considerations such as composition, lighting, etc. and the impact on shooting and the negative. This workshop will have tailored instruction for each student’s personal camera, but a camera can be provided by CHAW if desired. CHAW will also provide one roll of 35mm black-and-white film for the class, but you may bring your own film.
OPTIONAL MATERIALS:
-One roll of 35mm OR medium format black-and-white or color film, if desired. Please note that if you would like to continue learning film development and printing at CHAW after this class, our darkroom is equipped for black-and-white processing only.
-A working 35mm or medium format film camera (no large format cameras).
NOTE: For anyone 18 yrs+.
